In this assignment we were asked to choose three or more corporate identities of a particular genre. The genre I chose was cosmetics, specifically make-up brands. We were to copy the image and clean it up with Photoshop. We had to have the image in corporate identity form and next to it have the icon standing alone. For each CID logo we had to have the type of genre, year the corporation started, mission statement, products of the company and the designer of the CID logo.
- The first company I chose was Lancome. It was founded in 1935 in France by Armand Petitjean, whom also created the CID logo. The products Lancome produces are fragrances, skin care, perfumes and makeup. There purpose is to make every women feel the beauty in their face and be satisfied with it.
- The second company I chose was Sephora. It first opened in the U.S in New York City in 1998. The founder is Dominique Mandonnaud, who was also involve in the creation of the CID logo. Sephora has a variety of beauty products from over more than 100 brands. It also features its own makeup, skin care, and beauty tools and accessories.
- The Third company I chose was ESTEE LAUDER. It started in 1946 when ESTEE LAUDER and her husband, Joseph Lauder, began producing cosmetics in New York City, who were also involve in the CID logo. It provides beauty products, skin care & make up. The purpose of the company is to grow virtually every year on the key principles the company established, which is creativity and innovation.
